Position Summary

G.F. Crane is seeking an experienced Crane Rental Sales Representative to develop new business opportunities while managing and growing existing customer relationships. The ideal candidate has experience selling crane rental, heavy equipment rental, rigging services, or construction-related services and is comfortable working directly with general contractors, steel erectors, mechanical contractors, electrical contractors, roofing companies, masonry contractors, and industrial facilities.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, visiting job sites, estimating projects, and helping customers find safe and cost-effective lifting solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with new and existing customers.
• Generate new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, and job-site visits.
• Prepare accurate crane rental quotations and proposals.
• Coordinate with dispatch and operations to ensure successful project execution.
• Visit job sites to determine crane requirements and recommend lifting solutions.
• Follow up on quotes and negotiate contracts.
• Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals.
• Maintain detailed customer records and sales activity.
• Stay informed on local construction projects and bidding opportunities.
• Represent G.F. Crane professionally while delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of crane operations and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in Sales Management or account management, with the ability to prioritize opportunities and manage a customer pipeline.
• Ability to provide Training or guidance to clients on service options, safety considerations, and project planning as needed.
• Familiarity with crane rental, construction, or related industries is highly beneficial.
• Solid organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and scheduling.
• Proficiency using Salesforce to manage quotes and customer information.
• High level of professionalism, reliability, and commitment to safety; valid driver’s license preferred for occasional job-site visits.
