Job Description
Registered Nurse - Correctional

Schedule

5x8 hours, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM, every other weekend.

Assignment Details

26-52 week contracts.

Requirements

• Must possess a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
• Must clear the state-run Criminal History Form before starting, which may take up to 4 weeks.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals.
• Conduct health assessments and prepare nursing care plans.
• Diagnose and treat health problems through nursing services.
• Consult on nursing matters with treatment teams prior to administering treatments.
• Serve as a member of interdisciplinary health care teams.
• Provide clinical supervision and training to nursing staff and direct care staff.
