We are constantly in pursuit of better patient care and understand that speed is critical because life cannot wait.The Associate Maintenance Technician Intern is responsible for participating in assigned scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of production equipment. This effort includes, but is not limited to, collaboration with other Maintenance Technicians and Sr Maintenance Technicians to learn how to make sure the machines are safe and operating at peak condition. This individual works with the entire plant to ensure every machine is running and the shop floor is safe.Essential Functions:Assists in diagnoses, repairs and tests malfunctioning equipment and machinery; Working to replace faulty mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipmentProvides daily emergency and performing preventative maintenance on any machine or system in the facilityAssists in performing routine inspections to ensure safe and dependable operation of all manufacturing and electrical equipmentPerforms lockout / tag out procedures for safetyComplies with all safety norms and regulationsMaintains records of inventories and placing orders for spare parts and equipmentTracks log repair and maintenance workMonitors contractor performance and working closely with outside vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specificationsAssists in the execution of all assigned maintenance area capital projectsAssists in providing preventive maintenance and repairing CNC machines, mill turn centers, metal cutting technology, modern machine tools, surface finishing machines as neededAdheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policiesEnsures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your roleRepresents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third partiesReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Qualifications:Associates degree preferred; High School Diploma or equivalent requiredMaintenance experience in a manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment environment preferredDirect, hands on experience with performing maintenance of various machinery preferredComputer literacy is a mustClean, organized, and possess the ability to multi-taskExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailSelf-starterAdvanced critical thinking and problems-solving skillsProficiency in using Microsoft Office productsAbility to travel up to 15% of the timePhysical Demands: The physical demands listed here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawlRequired to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 poundsRequired to possess specific vision abilities, including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focusOur Values :Our Life Moves Us philosophy is built on four values: Passionate About Innovation, Customer Focused, Teamwork, and Driven.Passionate about Innovation: Improving patient care by delivering advanced technology to our customers is at the core of what we do.
