We are searching for a Traffic Engineer with modeling and analysis experience coupled with knowledge of NCDOT practices and procedures. This role is based in our Raleigh (Centennial Campus), NC office with the ability to work remotely and in the field.Responsibilities of the position will include, but may not be limited to: Proficiency with microsimulation models including TransModeler and SynchroDemonstrate thorough understanding of traffic engineering principles and analyses required to complete projects for clients in the southeastern US regionProvide input and responsibility on a wide range of projects Contribute to project and technical leadership in Traffic and TransportationDirect and coordinate work with subject matter experts and consultants to meet schedules Assign, review, and evaluate project deliverables for quality and consistency with project scope Deliver technical projects and reports We invite applications from candidates with the following experience: BS (Civil) Engineering, or equivalentProfessional Engineering registrationProfessional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) a plus 10+ years’ experience in Traffic & Transportation Engineering preferred Traffic safety analysis experience a plus Knowledge of NCDOT TEAAS program a plus Signal design, signal timing plan development, signing plan development, and/or traffic control experience a plus Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail Experience or training in computer applications including those previously mentioned (TransModeler, Synchro, Microsoft Office, GIS, MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, TransCAD, etc.) Benefits & RewardAt Mott MacDonald, our employees have a stake and a voice in our business, providing them with a direct connection to our success through our personal and group performance bonuses.
