We're looking for an experienced HVAC professional who can bring that same standard to the technicians around them.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a Lead HVAC Service Technician who knows residential HVAC inside and out—and who enjoys helping other technicians become better at what they do.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You'll still work in the field, but you'll also serve as a technical resource and mentor for the service team.

What You'll Do

• Diagnose and repair complex residential HVAC problems.
• Take the lead on difficult, recurring, or escalated service issues.
• Troubleshoot electrical, refrigeration, airflow, controls, communication, and system-performance problems.
• Help technicians work through difficult diagnoses in the field.
• Support and mentor Service Technician I, II, and III team members.
• Conduct field coaching and hands-on technical training.
• Help identify technician training and development needs.
• Review callbacks and recurring service problems to determine root causes.
• Reinforce quality workmanship, documentation, safety, and service standards.
• Help technicians improve their diagnostic process rather than simply providing the answer.
• Identify unsafe equipment conditions and appropriate corrective actions.
• Evaluate equipment condition and recommend appropriate repair, improvement, or replacement options.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations clearly to customers.
• Help resolve difficult customer concerns and second-opinion service calls.
• Maintain accurate service documentation.
• Identify recurring equipment, tooling, inventory, or operational issues and communicate them to management.
• Participate in on-call rotations and assist with difficult after-hours service situations when needed.
• Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, technical excellence, and pride in your work.

What You'll Need

• Significant residential HVAC service experience.
• Strong advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Advanced knowledge of residential HVAC electrical systems, refrigeration, airflow, controls, and overall system performance.
• Experience diagnosing complex, intermittent, or recurring HVAC problems.
• EPA Section 608 certification.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Ability to coach and support technicians with different levels of experience.
• Strong documentation and organizational habits.
• Commitment to safe work practices and quality workmanship.
• Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential HVAC service, including working in attics, crawl spaces, outdoor environments, and Houston-area heat and humidity.

We'd Especially Like to Meet You If You Have

• NATE certification or advanced manufacturer certifications.
• Experience as a Lead Technician, Senior Technician, Field Supervisor, or similar role.
• Experience training or mentoring HVAC technicians.
• Experience troubleshooting residential IAQ products.
• Experience reviewing callbacks or conducting quality-control inspections.
• Familiarity with tablet-based field service software.
