Position Overview:

• Full-time, school-based contract role
• Location: Fort Myers, Florida
• Assignment for the upcoming school year

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
• Active Florida Department of Health (DOH) Speech-Language Pathologist license and/or valid Florida teacher certification
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
• Compliance with all Florida state and local district requirements
• Successful completion of background check and fingerprinting
• Experience working with special education students and families preferred

Typical Responsibilities:

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Provide direct and indirect therapy services to students with a range of communication disorders
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
• Maintain accurate records, progress reports, and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student-centered planning
• Monitor student progress and adjust therapy strategies as needed
