Facilities Tech

Since its founding in 1985, Queen of Peace Center (QOPC) has been providing family-centered behavioral healthcare for women, children, and families. As a member of the Federation of Catholic Charities, we serve the metropolitan and surrounding St. Louis area through four core programs: prevention, education, treatment, and housing. Job Summary Catholic Charities of St. Louis, Queen of Peace Center is seeking a skilled Facilities Technician. The tech is responsible for performing routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance activities that support safe, functional, and well-maintained facilities. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager and technical guidance of the Facilities Lead, the Facilities Technician completes assigned work orders, assists with facility operations, and supports regulatory and safety requirements. The starting hourly wage is $20 per hour. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and ability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule. Job Responsibilities

• Complete assigned work orders and maintenance requests in a timely manner.• Perform routine carpentry, plumbing, painting, electrical, and general maintenance tasks.• Conduct routine inspections of facilities, grounds, and equipment and report deficiencies.• Assist with preventive maintenance activities for building systems and equipment.• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.• Assist with furniture moves, room setups, and facility support activities.• Support life safety, emergency preparedness, and compliance activities as assigned.• Participate in on-call rotations as assigned.• Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection logs, and work-order documentation.• Assist vendors and contractors while they are performing work on-site.• Report maintenance and safety concerns to the Facilities Lead or Facilities Manager.• Perform other duties as assigned.Job Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required.• Technical school, trade certification, or related vocational training preferred.• One to three years of facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience preferred.• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general building maintenance• Valid driver’s license required.
