Public Health Nurse

Adams County Health Department

Quincy, IL

The Adams County Health Department currently seeks a full time Public Health Nurse. The position requirements and description includes: Requirements: Current Illinois licensure as a RN; valid driver’s license. Experience in Maternal Child Health, preferred. Description of Position: Public health nursing is the practice of promoting and protecting the health of populations. General Duties: Ability to gain a productive rapport with the public served. Educate pregnant women and moms on best practices related to self-care, infant care and nutrition in their home. Assess and prioritize for risk factors. Obtain objective information for assessments: Lead levels, blood pressures, height and weight and head circumference measurements. Case Management of moms and babies. Collaborate with other community agencies. Perform TB tests and readings. Aid in planning and working community flu clinics. Coordinating educational programs and trainings when needed. Connect clients with other services as needed. Perform other Public Health Nurse duties as assigned. #J-18808-Ljbffr
