The patient population that the General Medical/Neurology team cares for includes general medical-surgical patients suffering with UTIs, sepsis, pneumonia, renal issues, cardiac issues, GI issues, cellulitis, and diabetic complications. Along with the general medical-surgical patients, General Medical/Neurology cares for medical-surgical level neurology patients including patients suffering from strokes, traumatic brain injury, TIAs, seizures, and altered mental status. General Medical/Neurology team also cares for patients suffering with behavioral health related concerns.This position is responsible for assessing patient/family health problems and resources and taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a nursing care plan provided by the nursing team.
