Construction Controller

Some Controller roles are about keeping the books. This one is about helping build the business. We're partnering with a well-established construction company in Central New Jersey seeking a hands‑on Construction Controller to work closely with the COO and leadership team. This is more than a financial reporting role—you'll help drive profitability, improve operations, and influence key business decisions. What You'll Do Lead the month-end and year-end close process Prepare financial statements and management reporting Own WIP schedules, job costing, percentage of completion accounting, and revenue recognition Partner with project managers to monitor job profitability and forecasting Oversee AP, AR, payroll, cash flow, and the accounting team Strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and support budgeting and strategic planning What We're Looking For Strong construction accounting experience Expertise in WIP reporting, job costing, and percentage of completion accounting Controller or senior accounting leadership experience Collaborative leader who enjoys partnering with operations CPA preferred Why This Role?
