Controller

This role will be the head of accounting and own the day-to-day financial operations of the company. It’s a hands-on position, especially in the first 6 months, and ideal for someone who is comfortable operating independently in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. You’ll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the company’s financials while building structure, discipline, and scalability into the accounting function. Key Responsibilities Own the monthly close process and ensure all financials are prepared in accordance with GAAP Build and deliver monthly reporting packages, including financial statements, variance analysis, and key insights for leadership and the CFO Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Manage all balance sheet and bank reconciliations Review and approve transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper accounting treatment Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, accruals, and adjustments Maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes Handle setup and management of new vendors, particularly for large or complex accounts Review AP and AR activity for accuracy and proper coding Ensure timely and accurate monthly reporting to leadership Partner closely with the CFO on financial analysis, reporting, and business insights Support audit readiness and external audit requests when needed Identify areas for process improvement and operational efficiency Help scale the accounting function as the company grows, including hiring additional resources when appropriate What They’re Looking For 10–15 years of accounting experience Healthcare experience is a plus, but not required Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on Experience operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments Ability to work independently and make sound judgment calls Strong attention to detail and ownership mentality Environment & Expectations Fast-paced, high-growth company with a lot of moving parts Independent contributor initially, with the ability to build a team over time Systems are already in place (no implementations needed) This is a role for someone who likes to be close to the numbers, owns the details, and isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves while helping shape how the accounting function evolves as the business scales. #J-18808-Ljbffr
