Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients' mental health and substance use history, utilizing standardized screening tools to formulate a clear understanding of treatment needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that address both addiction challenges and underlying psychological issues, ensuring that goals are measurable and attainable.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based methodologies, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing (MI), tailored to the unique needs of each client.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, nurses, and case managers, to create an integrated care pathway for clients, ensuring continuity and completeness of care.

• Educate and involve clients' families in the treatment process, providing resources and support to enhance their understanding and enable active participation in their loved ones' recovery journeys.

• Maintain rigorous documentation practices, ensuring all records meet ethical and compliance standards, while protecting the confidentiality of client information.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this position is to support individuals struggling with substance abuse disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and stimulant use disorders. You will engage with a diverse client base in various stages of their recovery journey, providing therapy and guidance in a non-judgmental, empathetic manner while encouraging clients to take positive steps towards regaining control of their lives.

Qualifications\n

• A current and valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a closely related discipline.

• Specialized knowledge or training in the field of addiction counseling and substance abuse treatment.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices for both substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Exceptional counseling and therapeutic skills with a strong ability to build rapport and motivate clients towards recovery.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills that foster teamwork and collaboration within a remote clinical environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience specifically focused on substance abuse and addiction treatment.
