Job Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine
• Board Eligible candidates must be within 5 years of residency completion
• Active Massachusetts medical license required; Massachusetts-licensed providers preferred
• BLS, ACLS, and ATLS required
• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Medicine experience required
• Clean background for expedited credentialing
• Self-query NPDB completed within the past month at time of presentation
• Local candidates preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care in a busy emergency department setting
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries
• Float between the main campus and the satellite emergency facility as needed
• Support night coverage and maintain efficient patient flow during peak demand
• Work collaboratively with hospitalists, advanced practice providers, and ED staff
• Supervise and support emergency department operations, including radio monitoring of paramedics and ambulances
• Manage admissions through the hospitalist or admitting service when appropriate
• Provide responsive emergency care with a 30-minute on-call response expectation when applicable
