Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

SUMMARY As a Registered Nurse, your nursing experience and leadership abilities allow you to develop and implement quality care plans for patients, while acting as a mentor to others on the unit. Job Title: Registered Nurse Department: Emergency Department Location: Clifton Springs Hospital Hours Per Week: 36 hours per week Schedule: A mix between Day/Evening (7am-7pm) and Evening/Night (7pm-7am), rotating weekends and holidays RESPONSIBILITIES Assessment. Perform initial and ongoing assessment of the patient; demonstrate exceptional clinical judgment and advanced assessment skills; communicate and document assessment with interdisciplinary team; utilize all available resources in order to meet the needs of the patient and family Planning & Implementation. Develop and document plan of care, treatment and services; collaborate interdisciplinary health team to deliver care; maintains an appropriate nurse-patient relationship and provides an exceptional experience for the patient and family Evaluation & Education. Evaluate, communicate and document patient responses to care; revise plan of care based on ongoing evaluations; ensure the patient receives and understands education/training specific to their needs and abilities Training. Provide training for new team members on the unit; assume role of teacher for nursing students and other students shadowing on the unit; act as a resource for other team members for both clinical and non-clinical matters EDUCATION: BS: Nursing (Required) LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS: BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association (AHA)American Heart Association (AHA), RN - Registered Nurse - New York State Education Department (NYSED)New York State Education Department (NYSED) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. PAY RANGE: $39.74 - $52.99 CITY: Clifton Springs POSTAL CODE: 14432 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components.
