Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantOur client is seeking a Staff Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team in a newly available position. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career accounting professional looking to build their experience across month-end close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and audit support. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting fundamentals, be comfortable with debits and credits, and possess the initiative to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.• Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting• Support general ledger maintenance and ensure accuracy of accounting records• Analyze account activity and investigate discrepancies as needed• Assist with audit preparation and provide documentation to internal and external auditors• Support various accounting projects and process improvement initiatives• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting• Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation• Learn and adapt to accounting systems and technology tools used by the organization• Assist with ad hoc reporting and accounting functions as needed• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required• 1-2 years of accounting experience required• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including debits and credits• Experience supporting month-end close activities preferred• Audit experience is a strong plus• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills• Ability to learn new systems and technologies quickly• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines• Open to candidates from a variety of industries• Hybrid schedule: 4 days in-office / 1 day remote initially• Transition to a long-term 3 days in-office / 2 days remote schedule• Average workload of 40-45 hours per week• Additional overtime may be required during onboarding and peak periods• Opportunity to work closely with experienced accounting leadership and gain valuable training and mentorship• Valid passport required or ability to obtain one prior to an anticipated international business trip in mid-December• Ability to start promptly to allow for training and knowledge transferFerretti Search is a specialized recruiting firm connecting top talent with leading organizations across the United States.
