Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Emergency Department Swing

Location

Garrison, ND

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite | Every other weekend and holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a combined Medical Surgical and Emergency Department swing unit with 22 beds
• Maintain patient ratios of 1:4 for acute care, 1:6 for swing bed patients, and 1:4 in the ED
• Titrate and manage IV drips as required per patient care needs
• Read and interpret telemetry strips independently as the assigned ED nurse
• Operate and monitor respiratory therapy equipment including nebulizers, oxygen delivery systems (nasal and mask), ventilators (ED and transport use), and CPAP devices
• Float to the Emergency Department as needed and may serve in a charge nurse capacity

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
• Minimum of one year of Medical Surgical experience
• Minimum of one year of Emergency Department experience
• Prior charge nurse experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience titrating drips in an acute care or emergency setting
• Familiarity with swing bed patient populations and associated care protocols
• Experience working in a combined Med Surg and ED environment
