Are you ready to be an essential part of our team and help maintain the integrity and organization of patient records?

As a Unit Clerk, you will:

• Responsible for coordinating transportation and scheduling appointments for residents/patients, ensuring timely communication, documentation, and follow-up as needed.
• Assist with the management and maintenance of patient and resident medical records.
• Ensure medical records are accurate, complete, and compliant with all healthcare regulations and policies.
• Organize and file medical documents in a systematic manner for easy access and retrieval.
• Assist with data entry and updating of medical charts, ensuring the confidentiality and privacy of sensitive information.
• Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate information is recorded.
• Help prepare medical records for audits and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Must have:

• 0-2 years of previous experience in medical records.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to understand and follow applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and maintain accuracy in record-keeping.
• Knowledge of nursing/medical practices and procedures.
• Ability to follow instructions and accept feedback.

Nice to have:

• Experience in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of ICD coding.
• Experience with Point Click Care or similar electronic health record systems.
