About the Role

The Company is seeking an Assistant General Counsel to join its Office of General Counsel. The successful candidate will be a key legal advisor, providing trusted counsel on philanthropic gifts, donations, contracts, and policies. This role involves close collaboration with development leadership, fundraisers, and other colleagues, as well as communication with prospects, advisors, donors, and donor families. The ideal candidate will have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school, at least 2 years' of legal experience, and a demonstrated background in major, planned, and principal gift fundraising. Responsibilities include drafting complex agreements, enhancing risk management, and providing strategic advice for charitable programs. The role also requires the ability to handle multiple complex activities, excellent communication skills, and a strong commitment to the mission of the institution.
