Title: Camp Counselor for Camp Bow Wow MESA Do you like being rewarded with face licks and nose bops? We are looking for hard-working, dog-loving people to join our pack and help us create a fun and safe environment for dogs. Camp Bow Wow is a Premier Doggy Day and Overnight Camp that provides a fun, safe and upscale environment for dogs to play, romp and receive lots of love and attention! We provide doggy day camp for clients wishing to drop their dogs off in the morning and pick them up in the evening, as well as overnight boarding for travelers. We are looking for full and part-time Camp Counselors that have a genuine love of dogs, are energetic, enthusiastic, hardworking and reliable team players. Camp Bow Wow cares for dogs 365 days a year including Saturdays, Sundays, and every holiday. Candidates must be able to work during hours of operation. Must live in proximity to TEMPE/ MESA location. General Purpose of Job: Supervising and ensuring the safety of customers’ dogs and maintaining a clean and fun environment. In this position, you will play a critical role in inspiring happy, healthy pets and happy, healthy people! This job begins your membership in the CBW family. We also have entry level to upper-level management opportunities for those who intend to make the pet industry a career path. This job requires the ability to care for dogs of all breeds and sizes. Care includes cleaning, monitoring up to 25 dogs at one time, playing, Cleaning, and of course handing out treats! The Scoop on the Job! A gift for connecting with animals and the motivation to care for them as you would your own Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed Capable of physical activity up to and including handling XL breeds and deep cleaning Taking a course on Pet First Aid and CPR (course is paid for as a benefit of employment!) Comfortable with administering (some) medications to dogs (Senior CC only) Calm, & patient personality with the dogs Engaging with dogs and monitoring their physical and mental behavior Breed specialty (example: teacups, high activity level or extra-large breeds) Job Requirements Reliable transportation Ability to care for dogs on nights (until 7:30-8pm), weekends and holidays Punctual Reliable and dependable Love for ALL breeds and dogs of all sizes Cleaning, both the facility and helping dogs with their baths Compensation $15.15+ an hour starting pay (pending on experience) + Tips Hours can revolve around school and other responsibilities Personal growth opportunities including hourly rate increases and managerial promotions You will be certified in pet CPR & First Aid (we will pay for it Pay will range based on experience and level of responsibility Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $15.15-$16.50 per hour Benefits Employee discount Flexible schedule Day range Holidays Monday to Friday Weekends as needed Shift 4 hour shift 8 hour shift Day shift Evening shift Overnight shift Supplemental pay types Tips Work setting In-person Work Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
