Position: Litigation Paralegal Location: Greater Charleston, WV Pay: Up to $32/hr or $1,280/week – Weekly Pay! Schedule: Monday–Friday Traditional Work Schedule Reporting Structure: In-Person
About the Opportunity
Are you a detail-driven Legal Secretary with experience in civil litigation and/or torts? Our client—a dynamic, well-established law firm—is looking for a legal rockstar to support their attorneys in a fast-paced environment. If you're organized, efficient, and thrive under pressure, this is your moment to shine!
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare & e-file legal documents in state & federal courts
- Draft and manage discovery materials & pleadings
- Track and meet civil procedure deadlines
- Format documents with proper case citation standards
- Schedule depositions & coordinate with court reporters
- Assist with:
- Releases & dismissal orders
- Interrogatories
- Requests for production & admissions
- Answers, crossclaims & third-party complaints
Qualifications
- Must have 2-3 years work experience working in a comparable role
- Strong knowledge of civil litigation & legal terminology is preferred
- Familiarity with electronic court filing systems
- Excellent organizational & communication skills
- Ability to work independently & juggle multiple deadlines
