We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide direct behavioral support to students in a school setting. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and collaborate with educators, related service providers, and families to support students in achieving their academic, behavioral, social, and communication goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and skill acquisition programs as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Provide one-on-one and small-group behavioral support to students.
• Collect and record accurate data on student progress and behavior.
• Assist students in developing social, communication, self-help, and academic readiness skills.
• Support classroom routines and facilitate student participation in educational activities.
• Utilize positive behavior support strategies and evidence-based interventions.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, therapists, and other school personnel.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all applicable policies and regulations.
• Attend team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.
• Ensure student safety and respond appropriately to behavioral crises following approved protocols.

Qualifications Required

• Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with children or adolescents, preferably in educational or behavioral health settings.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Behavioral Science, Special Education, or a related field.
• Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental or behavioral needs.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and practices.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and sit for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds when necessary.
• Ability to respond quickly to student behavioral and safety needs.
