Part Time Physical TherapistHead Start is a federally funded preschool program serving low-income children and children with disabilities. Head Start is free to children who qualify and have two different programs; Home-based and center-based. The Goal of Head Start is to help development social and emotional competence of young children, implement strategies that promote school readiness, provide comprehensive family engagement services, promote health, mental health support, and collaborate with community resources to support the families and program.We are looking for a part time Physical Therapist for our Poughkeepsie location! The Physical Therapist will conduct therapy treatments following IEP/IFSP mandates and will monitor and record student progress.What You Will Do:Monitor and record student progress.Communicate and interact with team members.Complete EI/CPSE evaluations.Evaluate each child's occupational needs and ability in preparation for diagnostic planning.Review material of incoming children and alert appropriate staff to possible fine motor, gross motor and sensory disabilities.Undertake individual/group therapy with children in need of such treatment.Provide periodic in service training to staff on physical disorders in children.Develop physical curriculum materials and coordinate their use in delivery of physical services.Create behavior management systems and coordinate their use where appropriate.Maintain appropriate records to assess current progress of the specific IEP physical objectives and disseminates information regarding child's progress to other members of the treatment team/staff.Tests performed are appropriate for presenting problems.Recommendations are appropriate for findings.Join Astor Services – Apply Now!Do you meet the qualifications above?
