About the Role

Equivity is seeking an experienced Plaintiff-Side Personal Injury Paralegal to support attorneys handling motor vehicle accidents, premises liability, slip and fall, dog bite, wrongful death, product liability, catastrophic injury, workers’ compensation, and other negligence matters.

This role is best suited for a paralegal with hands-on plaintiff personal injury experience who can independently support cases from intake through settlement or litigation. Experience working on the insurance defense side is a plus, but plaintiff-side experience is required.

This is an assignment-based W-2 position. Hours vary based on client demand and are not guaranteed. Candidates must be available for at least 20 hours per week and respond to active clients and Equivity managers within one hour during their stated availability.

What You’ll Do

• Manage plaintiff personal injury matters from intake through settlement or litigation.
• Draft demand packages, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas, correspondence, and settlement documents.
• Collect and summarize medical records, bills, police reports, and other evidence.
• Communicate with clients, medical providers, insurance adjusters, courts, and opposing counsel.
• Track treatment, statutes, deadlines, and case milestones.
• Coordinate e-filings, depositions, mediations, hearings, and trial preparation.
• Assist with settlement administration, lien resolution, and case closing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of plaintiff-side personal injury paralegal experience.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Experience supporting personal injury cases from intake through settlement and/or litigation.
• Minimum availability of 20 hours per week.
• Strong legal drafting, organization, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat.
• Reliable computer and internet connection; Windows-based computer preferred.
• Ability to respond within one hour during stated availability between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

Preferred

• Insurance defense experience in addition to plaintiff-side PI experience.
• Experience with Clio, Filevine, CASEpeer, or similar legal software.
• Familiarity with AI tools and experience using them to support legal work.
• Experience with lien resolution and trial preparation.

Compensation & Work Structure

• $26 per hour
• W-2 employment
• Fully remote
• Assignment-based work
• Assignments are based on client demand, experience, qualifications, and availability.
• Assignment volume and weekly hours may fluctuate and are not guaranteed.
