JOB DESCRIPTION

The Engineer Design contractor position assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and able to make sound decisions. Natural Gas is an essential part of America’s Energy mix and a trusted energy source for more than 70 million homes and businesses. This position is an exciting opportunity for persons who enjoy the challenges of supporting the construction of natural gas facilities. As our Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include:

• Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments
• Performing assignments involving the design of components or functionality of

pipeline products · Involved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment. · Performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them. · Provide oversight and support for construction activities This might be the job for you if:

What candidate will need to qualify for this position:

• BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or General)
• 1-3 years of progressive Engineering experience

Or Equivalent academic education and experience Certifications/Licenses: Preferred: Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Skills: Required:

• Project Management
• Ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
• Computer Assisted Design/Geographic Information System - basic proficiency
• MS Office - advanced proficiency
• CAD/GIS - intermediate proficiency

This position may require some bending, lifting, climbing, prolonged sitting, prolonged walking, walking on gravel or crawling when necessary.
