As a Qualified Behavioral Health Provider, you will deliver therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist to individuals experiencing mental health and/or substance use concerns. You will conduct assessments, establish diagnoses, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide evidence-based interventions designed to promote recovery, resilience, and overall well-being.
This role involves providing individual, family, group, and specialty therapy services across a variety of settings, including in-person and telehealth environments. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary treatment teams, support clients through all phases of treatment, and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence and compassionate care.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, group, and other therapeutic services under the supervision of a licensed therapist or psychologist.
- Conduct intake screenings, comprehensive assessments, and evaluations within required regulatory and organizational timeframes.
- Gather relevant clinical information and determine appropriate diagnoses based on assessment findings.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans that reflect client needs, strengths, goals, and progress.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions and behavioral health treatment modalities.
- Facilitate individual counseling, family therapy, group counseling, psychoeducation groups, trauma-informed services, and co-occurring disorder treatment.
- Participate in clinical staffing, treatment team meetings, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure quality care.
- Maintain assigned caseload and meet department-specific Collaborative Service Goal (CSG) requirements.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure services are authorized and documentation requirements are met.
- Complete accurate, timely, and compliant documentation in accordance with state, accreditation, and agency standards.
- Ensure clinical notes, assessments, treatment plans, and other records are completed within required timeframes and appropriately linked to treatment goals.
- Correct documentation deficiencies and maintain complete and accurate client records.
- Assist clients through transitions of care and complete discharge documentation, transition summaries, plans, and correspondence.
- Respond to crisis situations and coordinate emergency services when necessary.
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with clients, referral sources, community partners, and coworkers.
- Represent the organization professionally within the community and participate in outreach activities as appropriate.
- Provide clinical consultation and guidance to treatment team members when needed.
- Assist with supervision and training of clinical staff, interns, or individuals in training when qualified to do so.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, mandatory training, and continuing education activities.
- Support organizational goals, quality improvement initiatives, and program development efforts.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
Education and/or Experience Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field required.
- Must be eligible to obtain full licensure through the applicable professional licensing board in the state of practice.
- Must complete all required supervised clinical hours and successfully pass applicable licensing examinations.
- Willingness to pursue licensure in additional states as organizational needs require.
- Experience providing behavioral health, mental health, substance use disorder, or counseling services preferred.
- Experience with telehealth service delivery preferred.
- Experience conducting assessments, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions preferred.
Required License/Certification
- Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current automobile insurance required.
- Must maintain eligibility for licensure and credentialing requirements applicable to the position.
- Ability to successfully complete all required background screenings and employment requirements.
Additional Qualifications
- Demonstrated knowledge of diagnostic criteria for mental health and substance use disorders.
- Strong understanding of behavioral health treatment modalities, rehabilitation methods, and evidence-based practices.
- Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and integrated treatment approaches.
- Familiarity with legal, ethical, regulatory, and accreditation standards governing behavioral healthcare services.
- Understanding of court procedures and legal requirements related to behavioral health treatment when applicable.
- Ability to develop, coordinate, evaluate, and improve clinical services and treatment programs.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, treatment planning, and clinical documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to establish effective therapeutic relationships in person, by telephone, and through telehealth platforms.
- Strong organizational, time management, and caseload management skills.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining accountability to supervision and organizational standards.
- Ability to interpret policies, procedures, safety guidelines, and clinical protocols.
- Commitment to ethical practice, professional development, and client-centered care.
- Ability to provide consultation, training, and guidance regarding clinical issues and evidence-based practices.
- Strong crisis intervention, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive service delivery.

Employment Requirements
- Successful completion of background screening, including criminal history, driving record, abuse/neglect, and fingerprint checks.
- Completion of New Hire Orientation upon hire.
- Completion of all required training, including Relias training, upon hire and annually thereafter.
- Current driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of automobile insurance.
- Completion of Behavioral Management training within thirty (30) days of employment or the first available class after hire:
- CPI for Residential Programs
- Peaceful Intervention or Verbal De-escalation for Outpatient Programs
- Demonstrate understanding of Collaborative Service Goals (CSGs) within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Achievement of thirty-six (36) hours of training within a two-year period in accordance with applicable state regulations.
- ASAM Programs Only: Completion of fifty (50) hours of annual training requirements.
- CPRC Programs Only:
- Completion of Growth and Development Form within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Completion of Privileging and Credentialing Form within thirty (30) days of employment.
- Knowledge of and compliance with all policies, procedures, regulations, and standards applicable to assigned programs.
- Provide copies of all applicable certifications, licenses, and credentials.
- For School-Based Services Programs, ability to provide services at school sites during school operating hours.
