This is a newly created position offering the opportunity to take on significant responsibility across a variety of tax compliance, research, and reporting activities.The ideal candidate will have strong experience with trust taxation and a solid background in business tax preparation. This position will work closely with internal accounting and finance teams as well as outside advisors and other stakeholders to ensure tax obligations are accurately and efficiently managed.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review trust tax returns, ensuring compliance with applicable federal and state regulations.Prepare federal and state tax filings for C Corporations, S Corporations, and Partnerships.Assist with the preparation and calculation of quarterly estimated tax payments for various entities and trusts.Monitor tax filing requirements and ensure all returns and payments are completed accurately and on schedule.Research federal and state tax matters and communicate findings to appropriate internal stakeholders.Assist with resolving tax notices, inquiries, and correspondence from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.Maintain organized and accurate tax records, workpapers, documentation, and supporting schedules.Partner with accounting, finance, legal, ownership, family office representatives, and outside tax professionals as needed.Support ongoing improvements to tax processes, systems, and recordkeeping.Stay current on changes to tax laws and regulations that may impact the organization or its related entities.Handle highly confidential financial and tax information with discretion and professionalism.
