SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR II

Job Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain, and manage a secure lab environment in Warrenville.
• Rack, cable, and configure physical servers and supporting hardware.
• Install and configure Windows Server (2019/2022/2025).
• Deploy and manage virtual machines using hypervisors (ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox).
• Configure RAID storage and server hardware components.
• Use GUI tools to configure and update firewall rules (Cisco FTD/FPD).
• Support implementation and testing of SIEM and next-generation monitoring systems (SIEM/STEM) for nuclear plants.
• Document configurations, testing procedures, and system changes.
• Troubleshoot server, virtualization, and basic network connectivity issues.
• Ensure compliance with nuclear regulatory and security standards.

Skills:

• Server & Hardware
• Experience with server racking, cabling, and hardware setup
• RAID configuration and storage management
• Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 administration
• Preferred hardware experience: HP servers, Cisco networking equipment
• Virtualization
• Hands-on experience configuring VMs
• Hypervisors: ESXi, Hyper-V, Proxmox
• Networking
• Basic understanding of IP addressing, gateways, routing concepts
• Ability to support firewall rule configuration via GUI (Cisco FTD/FPD)
• Security / SIEM
• Familiarity with SIEM tools (Splunk preferred but not mandatory)
• Experience supporting monitoring and logging infrastructure
