Position Highlights Conveniently located near public transportation Make a difference for the patients and employees we serve Opportunity to provide career growth Work Schedule Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours weekly) Days, Mon-Fri No call or weekend coverage is currently required Department Description Our primary clinic is located at Harborview and includes our main sleep testing facility and sleep medicine clinic. The Sleep Medicine Clinic provides multidisciplinary assessment, treatment and follow-up consultation services for patients with suspected or diagnosed sleep-related problems. Our medical, surgical, and therapeutic interventions cover the full spectrum of sleep disorders, including sleep apnea, narcolepsy, insomnia, restless leg syndrome/periodic limb movement disorder and circadian rhythm abnormalities. Primary Job Responsibilities Manage both new and established adult patients referred to for evaluation of sleep disorders Perform clinical assessments, order and interpret sleep studies, initiate and manage PAP therapy, prescribe pharmacologic treatments as appropriate, and counsel patients on behavioral strategies to improve sleep quality Play a central role in ongoing follow-up for sleep therapy compliance, patient education, and coordination with DME vendors Include outpatient visits and may involve coordination with inpatient services for complex sleep management or transition of care ARNP Requirements Master’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing Washington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privileges License to practice as an RN in Washington State National certification as a Nurse Practitioner BLS certification PA Requirements Licensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of Washington National certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA) Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medical Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positions BLS certification Compensation Pay Range Minimum: $131,316.00 annual Pay Range Maximum: $205,548.00 annual Other Compensation: Relocation Assistance Available EEO Statement The University of Washington is committed to fostering an inclusive, respectful and welcoming community for all.
