Job DescriptionHarborview Medical Center's Inpatient Addiction Medicine Team has an outstanding opportunity for a ARNP, Nurse Practitioner; or PA-C, Physician Assistant.WORK SCHEDULE:Full-time, 100% FTE (40 hours weekly)Days, Sunday – Thursday (possibility for evening coverage)Flexibility on days offDEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:The Addiction Medicine program offers medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) to adults with opioid use disorder in primary care medical clinics, mental health and addictions programs, and hospital settings. The program is a funded by the Federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Opioid State Targeted Response (STR) grant that was awarded to Washington State in the effort to better address the current opioid use epidemic.POSITION HIGHLIGHTS:Conveniently located near public transportationMake a difference for the patients and employees we serveOpportunity to provide career growthPRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Working within a multiple disciplinary consult service with a special emphasis on treating OUDSupporting patients as part of a team and independentlyCounseling and advising patients on medications for OUDSupporting discharge planningCultivating pathways for new processes as neededREQUIREMENTS:Master’s Degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursingWashington State Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner License with prescriptive privilegesLicense to practice as an RN in Washington StateNational certification as a Nurse PractitionerBLS certificationORLicensure as a Physician’s Assistant in the State of WashingtonNational certification from a national certifying body (NCCPA)Applicant must be eligible to receive hospital staff appointments for adjunct staff membership by the Organized Medial Staff of the hospital under Medical Staff By-Laws for hospital-based positionsBLS certificationABOUT HARBORVIEW MEDICAL CENTERAs the region's only Level I Trauma and verified burn center, Harborview Medical Center is a comprehensive healthcare facility owned by King County and operated by UW Medicine.
