Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Tele Job

Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele (Cardiac) opportunity in Rochester, New York. Travel assignment begins 08/17/2026 and runs for several weeks on a 3x12 Night shift. Unit focuses on Medical-Surgical and Telemetry with a Cardiac clinical track; orientation provided (16 hours). Weekly pay ranges from $1,863 to $1,976. This travel position is hospital-based; no guaranteed hours are provided. NY RN license must be in hand to submit. EPIC charting experience is required, and a minimum of 1 year of recent RN experience is expected. The unit supports dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, and respiratory and radiology services, with floatability within scope to similar units.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct RN care for adult and geriatric patients on the MS/Tele Cardiac track
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify dysrhythmias, and respond to rhythm disturbances per protocol
- Administer prescribed medications, manage IV lines, perform phlebotomy and IV insertions as needed
- Deliver oxygen therapy and non-invasive airway support; implement isolation precautions and PPE procedures
- Collaborate with the rapid response and code teams; coordinate with care partners to ensure patient safety and timely escalation
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EPIC with accuracy and clarity; communicate updates to the multidisciplinary team
- Float to similar units within scope based on patient needs and unit staffing

Requirements
- Active New York RN license in hand to submit
- BLS certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience, preferably in Medical-Surgical or Telemetry/Cardiac settings
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to work in a MS/Tele unit and float within scope to similar units
- Not open to applicants located within 75 miles of the facility
- RTO: No more than 1 week (days) of time off allowed
