We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead with a strong background in Java-based enterprise application development and API integration to lead the design, development, and delivery of mission-critical banking solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise in Java technologies, microservices architecture, API management, cloud-native development, and financial services systems.

The Technical Lead will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, product owners, and development teams to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing applications while ensuring compliance with banking industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Technical Leadership

Lead a team of developers through the full software development lifecycle.

Provide technical direction, architecture guidance, and code review support.

Establish and enforce development standards, best practices, and coding guidelines.

Mentor junior and senior developers, fostering technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Application Development

Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies.

Drive the implementation of microservices-based architectures using Spring Boot and related frameworks.

Ensure high availability, performance, security, and scalability of applications.

API Integration & Management

Lead the design and implementation of RESTful APIs and integration services.

Integrate banking systems with internal and external applications using APIs, middleware, and messaging frameworks.

Work with API gateways such as Apigee, Kong, MuleSoft, IBM API Connect, or AWS API Gateway.

Implement API security standards including OAuth2, OpenID Connect, JWT, and mutual TLS.

This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $75.00/hr.
