This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for planning, designing, and implementing safe, repeatable manufacturing processes. This position will work in collaboration with the operations team to ensure that a quality product is delivered to the customers safely and on time.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESLead projects from concept to industrialization.Partner with EHS to ensure equipment, machines and processes adhere to guidelines and create a safe working environmentDesign, plan, and layout plant systems, equipment, and machines for optimal efficiencySpecify and recommend equipment and process to ensure quality levelAnticipate and resolve technical processing issuesEnsure interface with the various internal stakeholdersUtilize WCM tools and/or Lean Principles and Six Sigma to ensure a successful project startParticipate in and lead multi-functional teams to solve production problemsREQUIREMENTS Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (Mechanical and Chemical Engineering)7+ years of experience as a process engineer in extrusion / lamination (a plus)7+ years of experience as a project engineer leading equipment installationPolymer/plastics experience in sheet and film (a plus)Experience in project management in a manufacturing environmentProven track-record using World Class Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or lean tools to streamline processes; optimize production and/or quality of productsTeam oriented, self-motivated and innovativeExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalWillingness to work closely with operation and “live” the processes for which responsible.Must be proficient in Microsoft Project and AutoCADWhat We OfferA commitment that Safety is #1Competitive benefits, pay, and retirement plan options!Career growth, stability, and flexible work arrangements.Responsible Manufacturing – Protecting Our Planet for the FutureWe utilize renewable energy and a closed loop recycled water process.We are committed to reducing greenhouse emissions and water consumption.We are the only flooring company recognized by the Asthma and Allergy foundation.Who we are:With a history of more than 140 years, Tarkett is a worldwide leader in innovative and sustainable flooring and sport surface solutions, generating turnover of 3.3 billion in 2025.
