Job Quick Facts: • Specialty: Gastroenterology • Job Type: Locum Tenens • Facility Location: Richlands, VA • Service Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient • Reason For Coverage: Supplemental • Coverage Period: ASAP - Ongoing • Coverage Type: Clinical + Call • Shifts Needed To Be Filled: - May 18-22 • Shift Schedule: - Procedure: Mon, Wed, Thu (.5 day) & Fri - OP: Tue & Thu (.5 day) • Call Schedule: Nights • Call Type: Beeper • Call Ratio: 1:1 • Call Response Time: 30 minutes • Patient Volume: 20-25 • Phone Consults: 1-2 • Rounding Included: Both • Support Staff: RNs: 2, MAs: 1, PA/NPs: 1, Office Staff: 1 • Procedures/Duties: Required: Upper GI endoscopy (with biopsy, with foreign body removal, with fulguration of bleeder (cautery vs. laser), With injection of varices, With PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy)) Esophageal dilatation/manometry Small Bowel biopsy Lower GI endoscopy Sigmoidoscopy (Flexible) Colonoscopy (with biopsy, with excision of polyp) • EMR: Athena & Meditech • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: True • Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered Requirements: • Active VA License • BC/BE
