Please note that starting pay typically does not exceed the range midpoint.IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE:The Teller role plays a crucial part in providing quality service to our members. With your excellent member service skills and knowledge of credit union policies and procedures, you will ensure that all teller transactions are conducted accurately, professionally, and in a timely manner, making a positive impact on our members' banking experience.WHAT YOU'LL DO:Deliver Exceptional Service: Provide prompt, professional service while helping members with transactions, account needs, questions, and solutions.Build Member Relationships: Identify member needs and connect them with products, services, and digital banking solutions that support their financial goals while contributing to relationship-building and service goals.Process Transactions Accurately: Handle deposits, withdrawals, check cashing, and other transactions while following compliance, security, and operational standards.Support Team Success: Collaborate with teammates to support financial center operations, share knowledge, contribute to continuous improvement efforts, and help create an outstanding member experience.WHAT YOU'LL GAINThe opportunity to make a meaningful impact on members' financial well-being.Experience across member service, financial transactions, and relationship building.Ongoing training, coaching, and career development opportunities.A collaborative culture focused on growth, teamwork, and continuous improvement.About This Role & Schedule Expectations:Position Location: Tukwila Financial Center (TFC)Training Location: Tukwila Financial Center (TFC)One-Year Commitment: All Retail new hires are expected to remain in this role and schedule for a minimum of one year before pursuing other opportunities within BECU.Full-Time Training Requirement: Although this is a part-time position, the first five weeks of paid training require full-time availability.Schedule Flexibility Required: After training, Tellers work 24 hours per week. Specific weekday hours will vary based on business needs, and availability every Saturday is a core expectation of the role.Training Schedule:First 5 weeks, Monday–FridayFull-time paid training from 9:00 AM–5:45 PMPost-Training Schedule:24 hours per weekMonday–Friday shifts between 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, based on business needsEvery Saturday from 8:45 AM–1:30 PMQUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:Typically requires High School Diploma or associated Certification (GED).1 year of customer service or relevant experience.Desired Qualifications:Teller or cash handling experience.Spanish language fluency highly desirable.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions.Experience in promoting and selling financial products or services.Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to financial transactions.Successful completion of in-house teller training program.Proficient math skills, with the ability to process account transactions accurately.Ability to multitask.Good verbal and written communication skills.Good interpersonal skills to ensure professional handling of member concerns.Ability to work independently and as a team member, using discretion and sound judgment.Additional hours as necessary to accomplish objectives and goals.EEO Statement:BECU is an equal opportunity employer.
