Location: Tempe, AZ

Compensation: $185,000–$250,000 OTE (Base + Variable) + Equity

The Opportunity

Our client is seeking a Sales Manager to lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives in Tempe, Arizona.

This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who thrives on developing early-career sales talent, building high-performing teams, and driving measurable results.

The ideal candidate is a passionate sales leader who combines strong coaching abilities with a data-driven approach to performance management. You'll play a critical role in building a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and sales excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Account Executives to consistently achieve and exceed revenue targets.
• Coaching & Development: Provide hands-on coaching, regular one-on-ones, and actionable feedback to accelerate individual and team performance.
• Performance Management: Establish clear expectations, monitor KPIs, and proactively address performance gaps to drive accountability and improvement.
• Sales Strategy & Execution: Analyze sales activity, conversion rates, pipeline metrics, and quota attainment to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Operational Leadership: Oversee daily sales operations, troubleshoot challenges, and remove obstacles impacting team productivity.
• Team Culture: Foster a collaborative, energetic, and results-oriented environment that recognizes achievement and encourages professional growth.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with sales leadership, marketing, product, and operations teams to optimize sales processes and improve overall effectiveness.

Qualifications

• 4–5+ years of experience managing and developing Account Executives and/or Business Development Representatives, preferably within SaaS or B2B technology.
• Proven success leading sales teams to consistently achieve or exceed revenue targets.
• Strong track record of coaching and developing early-career sales professionals.
• Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be actively involved in daily sales operations.
• Data-driven approach to managing sales performance, identifying trends, and improving results.
• Excellent communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience holding team members accountable and constructively addressing underperformance.
• High energy, adaptability, resilience, and a passion for building winning sales teams.

Compensation & Benefits

• Total On-Target Earnings (OTE): $200,000–$250,000, including base salary and variable compensation.
