Line Cook
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for a strict adherence to recipe standards. The Line Cook is committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety, and sanitation standards during the shift and prepares food with proper safety equipment, tools and recipe specs with further direction from Management. The Line Cook is also responsible for knowing the food hierarchy in the storage of products in the walk-in cooler and walk-in freezer, and also keeping the dry storage organized. The Line Cook is responsible for preparing fresh, delicious food that looks great too.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the preparation of food items. We have a diverse menu that requires speed and accurate preparation, and you should feel proud of each item you prepare.
- Responsible for maintaining equipment and the cleanliness of your surroundings.
- Working as a team to achieve standards in preparation and delivery of food items
- Committed to safe food handling, cleanliness, safety and sanitation standards during the shift
- Prepares food with proper safety equipment, tools and recipe specs with further direction from Management
- Practicing food safety and sanitation, restocking kitchen and cook line as needed throughout the shift
Qualifications
- Good understanding of ingredients, recipes, kitchen safety and hygiene
- Familiar with general kitchen equipment and appliances
- Able to follow instructions accurately and efficiently
- Able to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable transportation
- Able to lift a minimum of 20 lbs

- 10-40 hours weekly.
Compensation: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour The Great Greek was founded by two third-generation restauranteurs with more than 30 years in the food and hospitality business. Like anyone who loves truly good food, their favorite childhood memories were those spent with family and friends, crowded around a table for a meal made with care and love. That tradition still remains today with the same recipes passed down generation after generation and prepared with the spirit of authentic Mediterranean hospitality where everyone's welcome. We've made the dining room a little bigger to fit more guests, but you'll always feel right at home with smiling faces, table service, and a bright cheerful atmosphere
