Head of Commercial Excellence

Overview Head of Commerce with a proven track record of driving commercial strategy through data‑driven decision‑making and cross‑functional leadership. Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to independently build financial models, develop forecasts, perform scenario analyses, and translate complex data into executive‑level insights. Responsibilities Strategic Leadership & Executive Partnership: Partner with the General Manager and North America Leadership Team to shape commercial strategy and drive business performance. Deliver actionable insights and strategic recommendations that support executive decision‑making. Lead Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and ongoing performance reviews. Identify growth opportunities, business risks, operational challenges, and continuous improvement initiatives. Develop business cases and strategic analyses to support investment and resource allocation decisions. Commercial Excellence & Business Governance: Build and evolve the commercial operating model to improve business performance and organizational effectiveness. Establish governance frameworks, operating rhythms, executive dashboards, KPIs, and reporting processes that drive accountability. Create a consistent, reliable view of commercial performance across functions and business units. Improve reporting quality, data integrity, and business visibility to enable faster, more informed decisions. Lead initiatives that streamline commercial processes and enhance operational efficiency. Business Planning & Performance Analytics: Lead annual planning, forecasting, and commercial performance management across the organization. Partner with cross‑functional teams to align business plans, operational priorities, and execution strategies. Develop executive dashboards, financial models, scenario analyses, and performance reporting that support strategic planning. Monitor business performance against targets, identifying risks, opportunities, and recommended actions. Provide analytical insights that improve forecasting, resource allocation, and overall business performance. Commercial Performance & Growth: Evaluate performance across multiple revenue channels and business segments. Analyze customer trends, product performance, commercial initiatives, and overall profitability. Recommend strategies that improve growth, operational effectiveness, and return on investment. Support new initiatives and launches by ensuring commercial readiness, cross‑functional alignment, and execution excellence. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in Commercial Strategy, Business Operations, Commercial Excellence, Revenue Operations, Business Planning, Finance, or a related function. Demonstrated success partnering with senior executives to influence strategic business decisions. Proven ability to translate complex business data into clear recommendations that drive action. Experience developing forecasting models, business plans, and performance reporting within a complex operating environment. Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. Strong understanding of commercial performance across multiple revenue channels, customer segments, or lines of business. Proven ability to influence outcomes without direct authority and build alignment across diverse stakeholder groups. Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams with a player‑coach mindset—comfortable setting strategy, performing hands‑on analysis, and presenting recommendations to executive leadership.
