Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Primary Care Internal Medicine Physician, you will join our dynamic healthcare team in Lakewood, WA. We specialize in diagnosing and treating family medicine patients, making a significant impact on their lives and families. Every day you will provide compassionate and expert care, conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to support the holistic well‑being of our patients within Franciscan Medical Group. To be successful in this role, you will be a skilled, BC/BE, and compassionate Family Medicine Primary Care Physician, possessing expertise in diagnosing and managing complex diseases, alongside strong communication abilities. You will also demonstrate a deep commitment to patient‑centered care and the capacity to thrive within a collegial and supportive environment. Provide comprehensive, longitudinal primary care to adult patients (18+), including preventative wellness, acute illness management, and chronic disease management Perform routine physical exams, annual check‑ups, and screenings, providing education on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle modifications Order appropriate diagnostic tests (laboratory, imaging, EEGs) and interpret results to formulate evidence‑based treatment plans Collaborate with a multi‑disciplinary team, including specialists, nurse care coordinators, and social workers to ensure seamless, high‑quality patient care Offer guidance, counseling, and education on wellness, disease management, and medication adherence to patients and their families Maintain accurate, timely, and detailed medical records, utilizing EPIC appropriately Provide and document direct treatment for patients, including ordering medications, referrals, and following up on specialist consultations Participate in primary care division activities, including peer review programs, quality metric improvement, and policy development Option of working 5–8 or 4–10 hour work days per week Compensation ranges from $261,962–$376,164 per year We are offering a guaranteed one‑year salary, wRVU productivity, and an annual bonus incentive. Sign‑on bonus and relocation assistance are available. Job Requirements Required Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine Active, unrestricted license in the state of Washington Ability to obtain a DEA with full prescriptive authority needed for the specific practice Strong clinical diagnostic skills in an ambulatory setting Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑oriented environment Commitment to providing high‑quality, compassionate care to all ages of patients Preferred At least one year of Internal Medicine Primary Care experience Where You'll Work Located in Lakewood, WA, part of the Virginia Mason Franciscan Health system with a network of 10 hospitals and many care sites across the Puget Sound region. #J-18808-Ljbffr Franciscan Medical Group
