We are an established real estate investment company with more than 50 years of experience owning, managing, and investing in commercial real estate. Our portfolio includes 19+ properties across office, retail, industrial, and other asset types, and we take a long-term, hands-on approach to managing our investments and maximizing their performance and value.

We are looking for a Real Estate Finance & Accounting Manager to take ownership of the financial management and reporting for our commercial real estate portfolio.

This is a hands-on role that combines accounting, financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and property-level financial management. You will work closely with Property Managers, ownership, and senior leadership to understand what is driving financial performance, identify trends and opportunities, and turn financial information into actionable business decisions.

This is not a role focused solely on maintaining the books. We are looking for someone with strong commercial real estate accounting fundamentals who can analyze the numbers, ask the right questions, and bring insight into the conversations that shape our investments and overall business.

What You'll Do

• Oversee accounting and financial reporting for a portfolio of 19+ properties
• Lead property-level month-end close, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial statements
• Prepare, review, and present monthly financial reporting to ownership and senior leadership
• Analyze revenue, operating expenses, NOI, cash flow, trends, variances, and budget-to-actual results
• Partner with property managers to understand financial performance, investigate variances, and identify opportunities to improve property results
• Develop and manage property-level budgets, forecasts, and reforecasts
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support investment and property-level decisions
• Oversee CAM reconciliations, tenant recoveries, and expense allocations
• Manage and review lease accounting, including rent schedules, escalations, abatements, and tenant reimbursements
• Develop financial models and reporting tools to provide greater visibility into portfolio and property performance
• Support capital projects, tenant improvements, lender reporting, audits, acquisitions, dispositions, and other financial initiatives
• Ensure accounting practices comply with U.S. GAAP and company policies
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, processes, and overall efficiency

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, xhyhwjd or a related field
• 4+ years of progressive commercial real estate accounting experience
• Strong understanding of property-level accounting and financial reporting
• Experience with month-end close, CAM/NNN reconciliations, rent rolls, tenant billing/recoveries, lease accounting, and related property accounting functions
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP as it applies to commercial real estate
• Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, and financial analysis
• Ability to take financial information, understand the story behind the numbers, and communicate findings clearly
• Comfortable working directly with Property Managers, ownership, and senior leadership
