Company Overview Global manufacturing organization with a long-standing operating history and strong presence across control, safety, and hazardous area solutions for engines, compressors, turbines, and other rotating equipment The company supports customers across oil and gas, marine, power generation, transportation, and industrial markets through a broad portfolio of valves, instrumentation, control systems, condition monitoring systems, and safety products The organization is entering an exciting growth phase, with plans to go public in the near future, creating significant opportunity for accounting and finance professionals to gain exposure to public company readiness, enhanced reporting requirements, internal controls, and process improvement initiatives Leadership is focused on strengthening the accounting function, improving reporting accuracy, enhancing controls, and building scalable processes to support continued expansion Role Summary Title: Senior Accountant Department: Finance & Accounting Location: Hybrid (Monday–Thursday in office, Friday remote) Overview: This is a hands‑on Senior Accountant role responsible for full‑cycle accounting, month‑end close, financial reporting, manufacturing analysis, cost accounting, inventory accounting, account reconciliations, and process improvement. The ideal candidate will bring strong manufacturing and cost accounting experience, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently while supporting a growing organization preparing for its next stage of growth Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate and timely financial statements in accordance with established reporting schedules Support full‑cycle accounting activities in accordance with GAAP Lead month‑end and year‑end close responsibilities, including journal entries, accruals, account analysis, and account reconciliations Own cost accounting activities, including cycle count auditing and monitoring, standard cost roll processes, inventory E&O reserves, manufacturing variance analysis, and inventory reconciliation Support flash reporting, quarterly P&L and balance sheet forecasts, and annual financial planning processes Assist with corporate internal audit requirements and internal control testing Partner with the Controller on special projects, reporting needs, and process improvement initiatives Help establish and improve internal financial policies, procedures, and accounting processes Maintain well‑documented workpapers and support for journal entries and reconciliations Organize, review, and analyze accounting reports while providing meaningful feedback to management Assist with annual budget preparation and periodic forecasting Support ad hoc reporting, financial analysis, and special projects as needed Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve existing processes and support accurate corporate and segment reporting Ideal Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required Manufacturing experience required Cost accounting experience required Strong knowledge of GAAP, inventory accounting, standard cost accounting, and ERP systems Experience with month‑end close, financial reporting, journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Experience with manufacturing variances, cycle counts, inventory reserves, and standard cost roll processes BlackLine and Power BI experience preferred Experience with IFS, SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems is a plus Experience with intercompany transactions, eliminations, foreign currency, and multiple currencies preferred Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills Self‑starter who is motivated, hands‑on, career‑focused, and able to work independently with minimal supervision Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and cross‑functional teams High integrity, strong sense of urgency, and results‑oriented approach Demonstrated desire to improve processes, drive accuracy, and support scalable accounting operations Target Base Compensation: $90K–$115K Monday through Thursday onsite, Friday work from home Strong exposure to manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, internal controls, and public company readiness High‑impact role with direct visibility to accounting and finance leadership Opportunity to join a growing organization preparing to go public Selling Points Opportunity to join a global manufacturing organization during an exciting growth phase Company is preparing to go public, creating strong long‑term career growth and public company readiness exposure Hands‑on role with meaningful ownership across close, reconciliations, cost accounting, inventory, and manufacturing analysis Strong opportunity for a motivated accountant to make an immediate impact and improve processes Exposure to internal controls, audit support, forecasting, reporting, and cross‑functional business partnership Ideal fit for someone who enjoys manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and being close to the operations side of the business Hybrid schedule with Friday work from home Excellent opportunity for a career‑focused, self‑motivated accounting professional looking for growth, visibility, and long‑term advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr Korn Ferry
