About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the operating room. License: Current RN license required. Certifications: AHA BLS, CO OR COMPACT RN LICENSE Must-Have: - 3 years of OR experience - Level 1 or 2 trauma experience - Epic experience Description: Candidates who completed a full year on assignment will not be rebooked for at least one year. A maximum of 10 days off will be approved. Requests for time off are not allowed during specific time periods. Shifts are for 12 hours starting at 06:45, with occasional floating to different start times. Occasional floating to nights may be required, but not more than 3 shifts per contract. Weekend coverage is needed as required by unit needs. On-call shifts will be required, approximately 3 shifts per 8-week schedule period. The unit consists of 41 operating rooms and is a Level 1 trauma center. No first-time travelers will be accepted. Experience with general surgeries, GU/GYN, neurosurgery, ENT, and plastics is mandatory. Candidates must be willing to float within the scope to meet facility needs. Ability to circulate emergent craniotomy is essential. Completion of facility-specific modules is required within the first week of the assignment. Review of all relevant patient care details and interdisciplinary support services is necessary to understand patient needs. Candidates must check their emails regularly for updates and communication. Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions.
