Engineer II, Mechanical - Hybrid Hybrid position in Towson, MD; requires onsite work minimum 3 days per week. Job Summary Serves within the Global Tools & Storage team, supporting the design process, concept development, prototyping, testing, stack‑ups, system analysis, corrective actions, 3D modeling, cross‑functional collaboration, documentation, builds support, and ensuring product quality. Responsibilities Support the design process to achieve quality, performance, schedule, and cost objectives. Perform hands‑on concept development, prototyping, product testing, data collection, and definition of product specifications. Carry out stack‑ups and system analysis to ensure consistency of assembly and functionality. Investigate design issues & test failures; recommend and implement corrective actions. Construct 3D models to evaluate design options. Collaborate with product marketing, reliability, and field research teams to define customer requirements and develop tests. Work with a core team to develop a product from start to finish, producing appropriate documentation. Support builds of engineering, manufacturing, and pilot lots to ensure correct assembly and testing. Support the engineering process for all requirements to deliver durable products. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. 1–3 years of engineering experience. Proficient with MS Office, 2D/3D CAD, and FEA. Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to identify root causes. Experience with statistical tools, process capability, DOE, stack‑ups, and GD&T. Willingness to build, test, and debug tools throughout the development cycle. Experience with fast‑paced design cycles (average 2 years) preferred. Possible international travel to manufacturing locations. Salary Salary range: $72,000.00 – $115,900.00 (adjusted for location, experience, and qualifications).
