We're looking for an experienced Architect who wants to do more than produce plans. We want someone who enjoys solving problems, collaborating with construction professionals, and seeing their designs become finished buildings.

As a commercial design-build firm serving Southeast Wisconsin, we bring architecture, estimating, project management, and construction together under one roof.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This isn't a traditional architecture position where drawings are handed off and the architect moves on to the next project.

At Anderson Ashton, our architects stay involved.

You'll work directly with owners, estimators, engineers, project managers, superintendents, and trade professionals throughout the life of a project.

From the first concept to the final walkthrough, you'll have the opportunity to influence how buildings are designed, priced, constructed, and delivered.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and participate in architectural design from initial concept through construction.
• Develop practical, creative solutions for commercial and industrial projects.
• Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction to keep designs aligned with project budgets.
• Prepare and coordinate construction documents, details, and specifications.
• Coordinate structural, mechanical, electrical, and other design disciplines.
• Work directly with owners to understand their needs and develop solutions.
• Visit active jobsites and work with field teams to resolve construction challenges.
• Participate in project meetings, submittals and construction coordination.
• Take ownership of design quality, coordination, and successful project outcomes.

• Enjoy being involved in construction rather than working exclusively behind a desk.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Professional degree in Architecture.
• Wisconsin architectural license or ability to obtain licensure.
• Experience in commercial, industrial, institutional, or similar building design.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods, materials, and detailing.
• Experience developing construction documents and coordinating consultants.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team.

COMPENSATION & LOCATION

Annual Salary: $100,000–$140,000, depending on experience and qualifications.

Location: New Berlin, Wisconsin — serving Southeast Wisconsin.

Relocation: Assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
