Pre-op Registered Nurse

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital, a Level 1 Trauma Center, located in Norfolk, Virginia is seeking an experienced Pre-op Registered Nurse for our Vascular and Interventional Center.

Hours/Shift: Full Time, Days, 36 hours per week. Days, Monday - Friday. The prep area is open from 6am-5 pm. Nurses take weekend call every 6th to 7th weekend between the hours of 7am-3pm.

Our department has 25-bed prep & recovery unit, 8 procedure rooms and 2 Vascular Hybrid OR's

Nurses in this unit will be cross trained to care for interventional radiology, neuro, and vascular procedures and OR patients.

Provide care for patients recovering from both Moderate Sedation and General Anesthesia.

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
