F. V. Vleck Co. is looking for a warehouse employee / delivery driver. Work hours are 6:30am to 2:30pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Receive and inspect deliveries
Sort materials by locations
Pick materials for outgoing orders
Prepare materials for delivery or pick up
Maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
Maintain a clean and safe yard environment
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with clean record
DOT commercial motor vehicle certification or ability to get same
OSHA forklift certification or commitment to receiving same
Punctual
Reliable
Able to perform physical work
Able to complete tasks accurately and timely
Able to communicate effectively
Duties and Responsibilities
Unload tractor trailers, flatbeds and straight vans using either of two types of fork lifts.
Inspect incoming inventory for damage
Review delivery manifests and delivered materials for accuracy
Put incoming inventory into correct stock locations
Pick customer orders from inventory
Prepare customer orders for pick up or delivery
Load tractor trailers, flatbeds, straight vans and pick up trucks with customer orders
Drive company delivery van to make customer deliveries
Assist with inventory counts
Maintain clean, neat and safe warehouse environment
Maintain clean, neat and safe yard environment
Work Environment
Warehouse is not climate controlled
Position will demand physical activity, including
- lifting building materials and products of up to 65 lbs,
- operating two kinds of forklifts,
- loading and unloading building materials by hand at times,
- packing customer orders by hand,
- climbing ladders and other physical movements
