Senior Director, Cell Therapy Manufacturing Network F&E Lead

Senior Director role leading cell therapy manufacturing facilities and engineering strategy across AstraZeneca's global supply network. Responsibilities include establishing design standards, evaluating facility expansion opportunities, managing capital projects, and harmonizing operations across multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Establish user requirements and facility design standards for cell therapy manufacturing environments
- Develop risk-based contamination control strategies addressing open/closed processing and biological risks
- Lead identification and mitigation of facility-related risks across existing and new-build programs
- Collaborate on site selection, master planning, and engineering studies to support capital investment decisions
- Harmonize facilities and engineering operating models across supply network sites
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil/Structural, or Architectural); Master's preferred
- Minimum 10 years pharmaceutical/biotech facilities engineering experience
- At least 5 years in network, multi-site, or above-site leadership role
- Direct experience with cell therapy, biologics, or ATMP manufacturing facility design
- Expert knowledge of contamination control, cleanroom design, GMP requirements, and commissioning protocols
- Proficiency with BIM, CMMS, environmental monitoring, and energy management systems
- Professional engineering licensure (PE/CEng) desirable
Compensation: $185,000-$278,000 base
