Requirements ***ACCEPTING IMLC AS OF 08/17/2026*** **Required for presentation: Must have actual state license, board certification in hand, and active DEA for the state of application and CSR (if required by state) in hand.** **All Candidates must cross-credential at Willis-Knighton Medical Center, Willis-Knighton South & The Center for Women's Health, WK Bossier Health Center, WK Pierremont Health Center.** MD/DO - Education/Training Requirements Residency Completion in EM ONLY MD/DO - Clinical Experience Requirements New EM Grad Accepted MD/DO - License Requirements Active unrestricted LA Medical License, DEA License w/ LA address, LA Controlled Substance & Supervising Physician License (PA supervision) MD/DO - Board Certification Requirements BE/BC in Emergency Medicine MD/DO - Merit Badge Requirements If ABEM-certified & actively participating in ABEM MOC no merit badges required. If EM Board Eligible - ACLS, ATLS & PALS required (AHA preferred). MD/DO - Immunization Requirements Flu (within current flu season) | TB (past 12 months or Chest X-Ray with positive TB Vaccinations. Willis Knighton Health Attestation Form will need to be completed by PCP or peer during application process. MD/DO - Case Log Requirements Documentation of case logs for past 2 years. MD/DO - CME/CEU Requirements Proof of completed CME's for the last two years MD/DO - Facility Procedure Requirements N/A MD/DO - Malpractice Coverage Requirements $100K/$300K Coverage plus enrollment in LPCF (locums - must be enrolled a minimum of 90 days at a time) MD/DO - Additional Details Must meet supervising physician requirements for NP/PA oversight. Position Overview Patient Volume: 46k annual ED volume Coverage Model: 38 physician hours- 24 nppa hours M-Thurs and 12 NPPA hours Friday-Sunday 22 ER beds and 12 hall beds Number of Beds: 576 hospital beds EMR: Medhost Fellowship/Residency: ABEM Qualifications Education: ABEM Licensure: Louisiana Board Certification: BC/BE Badges: ACLS, ATLS, PALA, BLS About Willis-Knighton Medical Center - EM: Willis-Knighton Medical Center is a tertiary care facility conveniently located west of downtown Shreveport just off interstate 20. The hospital boasts a wide range of medical services including a Cancer Center, Heart & Vascular Institute, health & fitness centers and it is home to the John C. McDonald Regional Transplant Center. Physician shift times daily 6a-3p, 10a-8p 3p-12a and 8p-7a NPPA shift times 8-8 and 10-10 m-Thursday and 10a-10p Friday-Sunday.
