Position Overview

• Emergency Medicine physician coverage in a tertiary care hospital emergency department
• Annual ED volume: 46,000
• Hospital beds: 576
• Coverage model: 40.71 physician hours, 12 hours NP or PA, 37 hours scribe support
• EMR: Epic

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board eligible or board certified in Emergency Medicine. ABEM required.
• Active Louisiana medical license
• Louisiana controlled substance registration
• DEA with Louisiana address
• If not boarded in Emergency Medicine: ACLS and PALS
• Residency trained
• CME for the past 2 years
• Case logs for the past 2 years

Credentialing and Onboarding

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 61 to 90 days
• Interview with the Medical Director
