Orthopedic Surgery Physician – Independent Practice Physician (Ownership Model, Not Employed) MedCBO, Inc is a Colorado-based healthcare business infrastructure company that empowers independent physician groups across the United States to launch, manage, and scale their practices. Overview This position offers physicians the opportunity to establish or transition into an independently operated medical practice supported by MedCBO’s administrative infrastructure. Physicians own and operate their own practice entity while MedCBO supplies non‑clinical business and operational support services, with no direct influence on patient care. Physician Responsibilities Provide care within the physician’s specialty scope. Develop professional relationships within the medical community. Coordinate payer credentialing with MedCBO as required. Determine clinical services offered. Manage clinical quality and patient experience. Govern clinical operations, clinical decisions, and set patient care policies. Maintain full clinical authority, decision‑making, and ownership of the practice. Administrative Support Provided by MedCBO Practice formation coordination. Billing and collections management. Payer contract negotiation. Financial infrastructure and reporting. Operational workflows and staffing systems. Technology platform and implementation. Requirements MD or DO with an unrestricted, good‑standing license in the intended state of practice. Board Certified or Board Eligible in a specialty appropriate to the clinical services you will provide. Eligible for hospital and/or facility privileges where applicable. Ability to obtain professional liability coverage at standard market rates. No current limitations, exclusions, or disciplinary restrictions that would prevent independent practice. Interest in the independent practice model. Preferred Desire for practice ownership. Community‑based care interest. Leadership or program development interest. Location Multiple U.S. markets available (urban, suburban, and rural). Relocation and market selection are physician‑directed, subject to licensure. Compensation Compensation is not a salary and is generated by the physician‑owned practice.
