Education: Must hold a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) license from the appropriate state respiratory care board. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification by the American Heart Association is required.

Experience and Requirements: Candidates should have a solid understanding of medical terminology and current respiratory care techniques. The ability to remain calm and composed in high-pressure situations, excellent communication skills, and manual dexterity to operate and assemble respiratory equipment are essential. Physical requirements include standing or walking for extended periods, patient positioning, and moving heavy equipment. Knowledge of psychosocial, physiological, and spiritual needs across all age groups, based on developmental models, is important for delivering appropriate care.

Additional Information: Employees must obtain Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials within 36 months of hire to maintain employment. The position may involve exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials, requiring adherence to safety protocols.
